Orsett Show 2017

The 111th Orsett Show 2017 which will be held on Saturday 2nd September, is delighted to announce that the Main Sponsor for this year’s Show will be The Port of Tilbury. Georgina Clark, Show Secretary stated, “we are extremely pleased that The Port of Tilbury is the Main Sponsor for the 2017 Show and we look forward to working with them to ensure that this year’s Show provides an activity packed day for the community”. Commenting on the sponsorship, Paul Dale, Asset and Site Director, Port of Tilbury said: “We are honoured to be the main sponsor for the 2017 Show and we are looking forward to the 2nd September. The Port of Tilbury and The Orsett Show are both a major part of local Thurrock history and we have supported the show over the years. A large number of our staff also go along and enjoy the show.” Georgina confirmed that alongside the traditional attractions at the Show – Horse Events and Competitions, Agricultural, Horticultural, Hobbies & Handicrafts, Schools’ Marquee, Craft Stalls, Trade Stands, Steam Engines, Birds of Prey, Dog Show, Circus Skills, we also have:- Titan the Robot – Ultimate family entertainment – his comedy antics are adored by children and adults The Sheep Show-Watch and learn about the various breeds and see the sheep being sheared, watch and learn about the various breeds and see the sheep being sheared, farming through the Year presented by the Young Farmers, the Essex Beekeepers Association and much, much more.

PLUS – NEW FOR 2017

The cream of Thurrock Talent will be competing live on stage for the title of Orsett Show’s Got Talent. Sponsored by Thurrock Council and Organised by the Thameside Young Producers, this open entry talent competition will take place on stage at the Orsett Show with super prizes for the winner and runner-up.
