It is hoped that the Cattle Section
will be able to return to the 2008 show after being
cancelled in 2007 due to the Foot and Mouth Disease
outbreak.
The cattle section of the Orsett Show
was bigger and better for the One Hundredth show in 2006
when an excellent display of cattle was put on. It is
planned that 2008 will be bigger and better.
Rare breeds and
commercial breeds of cattle were displayed along with
information on the cattle and the meat they produce.
Visitors went along to the cattle area where the owners
were delighted to tell them all about their cattle, and
the field to fork process.
